Celebrating 18 years

This weekend is our birthday. 18 years ago I remortgaged my house, left my job with a high street retailer and opened a little shop called Caramel in Honiton. I was young(er) free and single and wanted to start my own business. My lovely friends helped me paint, unpack stock and get the shop ready to open on 5th Feb 2005. To advertise my new venture, I put some flyers in the nearest coffee shop and took out an ad in the local paper. My little shop grew bigger, then... Read More

Sometimes the sheer joy of meeting up with friends for a drink and shopping together can make things seem like we are getting back to those pre-pandemic times. This autumn we are making our Exmouth Boutique available for evening bookings.... Read More

With our early autumn collection arriving daily, now is a great time to start getting a head start on what is on trend for the coming season. In terms of colour, khaki is still very much a feature this autumn. We are seeing this mixed with paler colours like sea green and pale pink to make this more feminine and wearable for everyone. This lovely striped knit from Fransa above shows how these paler colours work so well together. Checks From dog tooth to lumberjack, checks are a must have... Read More
